Assassin's Creed Mirage - Djinn

I had the fun but challenging task to design the Djinn for Assassin's Creed Mirage. For technical reasons, it had to be a biped. It went through a lot of tests and iterations and we eventually came up with the idea of floating bandages attached to him to add nice secondary motion. Our Lead Tech Art and Rigger Thomas Vialetto came up with a nice system of cloth simulation with complete controls of gravity and wind values for the animators. Kudos to the Lighting and Animation/Cinematic teams for bringing him to life !

I made these quick concepts to sell the mood to the directors. Eventually it inspired the Digic cinematic team for the announcement trailer.
